Hi, I'm pretty tired after returning to my home, so all I want to write are my impressions of the BoF about the release schedule. I gave a talk, Robert had two and all three had interesting discussions and then we had a 90 minutes BoF about the same topic: the factory development process. And all in all I would like to summarize this way: our schedule is not the problem, the process needs improvement and the distribution needs more people to take responsibility. The main part of the BoF was about if we need to change 12.3's schedule to implement changes or not. We agreed to implement what we can and stick to the schedule - even if that means that 12.3 won't be our strongest release. But reliable release schedule and reliable quality are our strongest priorities - features and number of packages come after that. That said, we were about 20 people in that BoF, so we can only give recommendations to the developer community as a whole. But in case you agree, remember: November 8 is the release of Milestone1 and so far we can't even install filesystem :( Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
