Well, just because you do not need it, that does not mean other people do not need it. I had quite a few times the need for multiple versions installed.

Flatpack is an ill fit for a mature desktop distribution and more geared toward teenagers installing "apps" on smartphones.
That's a little bit condescending. Flatpaks definitely have a place in the ecosystem. Currently i also am not sure if we should start every application in flatpak, but perhaps that would have an advantage. We will only see that if we build and experiment with the stuff.
