Please file a bug upstream: depending on how PA is configured on different systems, it may be difficult to find a solution that pleases everyone, but at least from a technical POV it *should* be doable.
way to stop the icon displaying in the middle of the screen, it seems unnecessary on a desktop machine to me.
File a separate report for this issue, too.
Ignore my last 2 emails. I've list the bugs/wishes on "plasma-pa", hopefully thats correct. I'll also report a strange effect here but in practice shouldn't happen. Here is some background. I've got 2 playback devices (not sure how) listed in "Audio Volume", "High definition Audio Controller digital Ster.." and "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" Built-in Audio Analog Stereo. Kmix says 2 "Built-in Audio Analog Stereo devices". I have both kmix and Audio Volume loaded on the taskbar. If i mute the High Definition on the "Audio Volume" icon, it changes the "Audio Volume" icon to show its muted which is correct. If i mute the Built-in Analog on the "Audio Volume" icon, it changes the "kmix" icon to show its muted and the "Audio Volume" stays unmuted. If i quit kmix and mute the Builtin Analog, it does mute the sound but the icon does not show muted. I'll report these on plasma-pa -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
