[opensuse-factory] Re: plasma5 splash not going away, needs Mesa-dri installer, dependency issue

I also was bitten by this yesterday and couldn't boot into Gnome or Cinnamon (specifically Clutter or Mutter). The logs were showing:

Unable to initialize the Clutter backend: no available drivers found

This is also a system with recommended package installation disabled. It would appear that Mesa-dri should be required, but I'm not sure about hardware compatibility with other vendors.
