The following are included in all my openSUSE installations, most of which started out as minimal in the first place precisely in order to so configure, and prevent the initial installation process from inflating / beyond necessity: zypp.conf: solver.onlyRequires = true zypper.conf: installRecommends = no -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
