What rendering settings did you had choosen in the compositor?

Systemsettings --> Display and Monitor --> Compositor

I had the rendering backend set to OpenGL 3.1 for a while and also had issue but not in your magnitude.

Going back to OpenGL 2.0 actually solved most of the Problems
