[opensuse-factory] Graphical login broken after update

Hi, after an update of Tumbleweed (zypper dup) this evening on a Dell D630 laptop the boot got stuck with a black screen. Closing log file. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- xinit failed. /usr/bin/Xorg is not setuid, maybe that's the reason? If so either use a display manager (strongly recommended) or adjust /etc/permissions.local and run "chkstat --system --set" afterwards (this is actually the output of Xorg.0.log) After changing the Display manager from sddm to kdm the server started as expected. So this seems to be a sddm-issue. It is reproducible - changing back to sddm breaks it again. Anyone else experienced the same issue? How can I prevent the change to sddm during the next update? [opensuse-factory] Does openSUSE have a general tool to install firmware to a Crucial MX300

Hi all, Since I purchased my first Crucial MX300 525 GB drive, I was forced to reinstall openSUSE three time due to IO read errors. They have provided the first firmware update in the form of an ISO. Apparently it is using Tiny Linux. Can I use VirtualBox or VMware with Windows to install the Windows Storage Executive software firmware utility virtually. I haven't used Windows since 2005. I'm surprised that Crucial couldn't write a bash script to install their firmware on the SSD drive. I have also read that using loopback on Grub2 can install the ISO. -- Cheers! Hi, kmail is broken in a current TW with all updates applied. If you click on an message, it says its retrieving the message, but that takes long and on the terminal I get the messages printed below. [opensuse-factory] Kmail 5.4 and duplicated emails going back 2 months

HI Upgraded this morning and it didn;t work until the fixed kdepim runtime was installed and the i used it quite happily. I then logged out and did some other work on another login and logged out. I returned to this login and the thing went crazy and started duplicating thousands of emails and leaving them marked as unread. Using the "remove duplicates" menu option does not seem to make any difference to the number of emails duplicated. I've also tried the akonadictl fsck/vacuum and that hasn't made any difference to the "remove duplicates" functions. I'll keep trying to see if the remove dups starts working.
