What I really miss every single second on Leap and Tumbleweed is the "B II preview" window decoration I still have a 13.2 that is using it, so I was wondering, is there a tool available that takes this amazing (in my perception) decoration and converts it to something usable in plasma5? [opensuse-factory] Tumbleweed and Realtek based wifi nics

TOSHIBA Satellite L775D/TKBSS laptop has severe packet drop with Realtek chipset based wifi cards. Builtin wifi based on Realtek RTL8188CE and a usb wifi adapter based on a different Realtekchip set both show heavy packet loss (around 60%). Nothing gets logged anywhere. Builtin Ethernet works fine. I know the wifi infrastructure is good since many other laptops work fine. One of the other laptops is running the same version of Tumbleweed (same kernel version etc but 32 bit - the problematic machine is 64 bit) but a different (Broadcom) chipset based wifi also works great. The machine is now running kernel 4.7.5-1-default, and I have installed each and every kernel update to show up in the Tumbleweed repos fairly faithfully. The problem with Realtek wifi started about 3 or so kernel updates ago. Is anyone else seeing problems with Tumbleweed and Realtek chipset wifis? Hi, The AMD RX 480 and its less powerful siblings work well in Tumbelweed from Kernel 4.7.x on. [opensuse-factory] internet name resolution broken after tumbleweed update

I am running Tumbleweed 20160927. After doing that update, resolving names seems not to be working. No names get resolved (unless they are in /etc/hosts). The NIC is started in KDE when I log in. It is not using the traditional method. I see that /etc/resolv.conf only contains one line: # Generated by NetworkManager. This file has not been updated since Sept 29. Probably before I updated to 20160927. Sounds like something in the update led to this file no longer being updated with the DNS resolver obtained via DHCP. There is a file called /etc/resolv.conf.netconfig that looks correct. But is this file read when resolving a name? If I copy /etc/resolv.conf.netconfig to /etc/resolv.conf resolution works again. Something is confused. For OpenSuse Leap 42.2 i need libOpenImageIO.so.1.5()(64bit) for Blender 2.76b-2.3 found a 42.1 package with RPM.pbone.net: (NOT 42.1-Beta1..!!) ftp.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1-Current/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/libOpe… not available within official 42.2 repo's. don't want to add any unstable repo's witch could lead to instability.... thank you.. [opensuse-factory] Leap 42.1 - Too big display problem on a laptop

My colleague has a stubborn problem on Leap 42.1 that refuses to go away. The problem suddenly appeared. We have tried removing ~/.kde4 and using xrandr. Login using Plasma5 or KDE Plasma Workspace results in the same but IceWM gives a normal sized screen. Help appreciated. Regards Sid. -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Re: DISASTER !
