[opensuse-factory] Terminal window in 13.1

When I open a terminal there are 2 things present- 1. the Menubar and 2. a "Taskbar" - or whatever it's called - at the bottom of the window. I always deselect the Menubar but in 13.1 this deselection won't "stick" and the darn thing keeps reappearing the next time I open the terminal. I also always remove the bottom "Taskbar" as it is useless and only takes up screen space -- but I cannot find the place where I can remove it. I did it in 12.3 but forgot where this was done (in 12.2 it was part of the Edit Profile section but this was moved somewhere in 12.3). Could someone please tell me where to go to to remove this "Taskbar"? And re 1 above, anyone know how to make the removal of the Menubar "stick"? Hello. Running the latest Factory x86_64 (it looks like 13.1 Beta 1). [opensuse-factory] Why cups shipped with openSUSE built without libusb support?

I've checked 12.3's and Factory cups packages and they built without libusb support enabled (--enable-libusb). Is there some reason to build it this way or this option missed by maintainers? Some simple printers/cups filters works fine only with libusb access, but not with usblp kernel module (currently only avaliable). [opensuse-factory] Mate in OpenSUSE 13.1

Hello everyone ! I hoped to be able to submit Mate packages to Factory for OpenSuse 13.1, but security review is not done. Only two services files need a review again, /etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.mate.SettingsDaemon.DateTimeMechanism.conf and /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/org.mate.SettingsDaemon.DateTimeMechanism.service from mate-settings-daemon. I try to rebuild mailman with htdig patch but I get [ 149s] (none): E: badness 20000 exceeds threshold 1000, aborting. I compared build logs with devel project and it has the same amount of warnings; the only difference is /proc warnings [ 140s] warning: Failed to read auxiliary vector, /proc not mounted? [ 140s] warning: Failed to read auxiliary vector, /proc not mounted? but I normally always see them in build logs and so far they did not cause any harm. Hello everyone ! As you probably all know, Stefano Karapetsas has introduce Mate during the OSC. I will quickly summarize it : MATE is a fork of GNOME 2. It provides an intuitive and attractive desktop to Linux users using traditional metaphors. he MATE Desktop Project is dedicated to keeping alive the traditional GNOME2 desktop metaphor. Many users liked this desktop, and found it simple, configurable, and comfortable to use. Our goal is to continue the development of this desktop environment, adding new features, fixing bugs, and improving the software as support libraries and other dependent software improved and changes. I do not know if it is supposed to work, but it mostly worked with 12.3 guest. Start qemu-kvm, suspend host, resume. With 12.3 guest continued to run.
