Hi all,
I've done a package of Darwin Streaming Server to be submitted to
Fedora and EPEL as part of my $dayjob. This package features a few
things like:
* sysv/systemd integration;
* logrotate integration;
* etc...
While openSUSE is a more Desktop oriented distribution and since
Darwin Streaming Server seems not to have much development active (the
current release is nearly 3 years old), I'm not sure if there's any
interest in having it for openSUSE. Furthermore the RTP and RTSP
protocols are somehow dropping into obscurity with the emerging new
technology, but, many people still use it around the globe.
If anyone has any interest on having Darwin Streaming Server (licensed
as Apple Public Source Licence (APSL) 2.0)in openSUSE let me know, I
can proceed to the necessary changes for submission. If there's no
interest, I can save my time for other useful things.

In nvidia repository there is clearly visible notice
that it is not nvidia who prepared the packages.

Can you please clarify how it is "not complying with copyright
of Linux developers"?
GPLv2 only prohibits inclusion of binaries
as part of the kernel, not providing binary drivers which the user can link
to the kernel.
If Nvidia drivers violate copyright, then it would not ship any drivers at all,
as well as VMWare or anything else that uses binary drivers.

Many pulse audio related tools are out of date, in case they slipped through
the cracks. http://paste.opensuse.org/88722770

Heya,
Just wondering - anyone thinking about packaging ETXreal? ET is pretty much
the only game I ever play (twice a month at most, I admit to not having more
time) and I'd love to see it look a bit more modern :D
ETXreal is an updated version of the FOSS variant of Return To Castle
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (awesome multiplayer stuff there, imho).
I might give packaging this a try next year - the hardware I'm working on
until I buy a new PC can't run the game anyway :D
Source here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xreal/files/ETXreaL/
Cheers,
Jos

You tell me, I don't know how :)

They are considering going open source with their client, and it looks
extremely likely they will. This could be an opportunity to push OBS and if we
act fast we could take advantage of being the first distro to offer it in a
repo in RPM format. Maybe some useful code too.
