[opensuse-factory] Dual boot: Suse does not find non-Suse distros

I recently installed Open Suse 11.3 beta (build 0625) on a system with another Linux distro in another partition. Interestingly, Suse gave me no option for configuring dual boot, and the resulting boot menu showed only the Suse partition. I was had to install a custom Grub2 to get back into the other distro. Why doesn't Suse provide this? I see that a bug on the issue was CLOSED with no solution to the problem being awarded: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548993 Of course, I won't be installing Suse again until it detects other OSes and adds them to the boot loader automatically. Hello, I try to test vdeo editors. Well Group; Postgresql was working and now again is failing. Some zypper process changed /etc/init.d/postgresql was changed again from /var/lib/pgsql/data to /var/lib/postgres/data. After fixing it postgres still fails to start. [opensuse-factory] M7: How do I remove nouveau driver?

How can I remove the nouveau driver? Uninstalling xorg-x11-driver-video-nouveau does not seem to remove it. Adding "blacklist nouveau" to /etc/modprobe.d blacklist file does not prevent it loading. [opensuse-factory] factory/M7 and VirtualBox ?

Yesterday I did a 'zypper up' to get my test system on the latest and greatest - and now I can no longer run VirtualBox. Of course it could be plain operator error, but I had no problems running VirtualBox only two days ago. I run it the usual way - get vboxdrv loaded, chgrp on /dev/vboxdrv, then start ./VirtualBox from the build directory (I haven't installed it permanently). I get the standard error "kernel driver not accessible". [opensuse-factory] Expecting a New GDM-GREETER on 11.3

May be is too late, probably I should had wrote it on openFATE... Really wonder to find a new, most beautiful and modern GDM-GREETER into 11.3. And beside this, a GDM-GREETER that could be changed on the fly as per installing a ne THEME from the Web. Hope to be not the only one supporting this kind of request. [opensuse-factory] yast2-qt recommended by gnome_yast pattern

Hi, Playing with "zypper dup" from a GNOME livecd, I see that yast2-qt and therefore qt gets installed. Since this is relatively big, I'd like to avoid doing that by default. From what I can tell, this is only happening because the gnome_yast pattern recommends yast2-qt. I can see this comment to explain this recommendation: "only there for the DVD to have a theme". Is this still valid? I don't see why the DVD would need this since it will already be on the DVD.
