[opensuse-factory] Why separate dirs for: /etc/apache2/ssl.crl ssl.crt ssl.csr ssl.key ssl.prm?

Devs, Posted to user list but Per and I are still scratching our heads. (well, I don't know if he's scratching, but I am...) Why does opensuse use separate directories under /etc/apache2 for ssl.crl ssl.crt ssl.csr ssl.key ssl.prm? Why is that any better than say putting all the certs in /etc/apache2/sslcerts? After all, the dirs are just option in /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/vhost-ssl.conf, example: SSLCertificateFile /etc/apache2/ssl.crt/server.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/apache2/ssl.key/server.key so why have 5 directories if 1 will do? -- David C. [opensuse-factory] fftw3

The one supplied is tne non-floating point version and there are some applications needing fftw3f. The sources as they stand don't allow both to be built, so I have had to build and install the standard and floating point versions separately from sources as fftw3 and fftw3f. There's a native Linux driver for that > chipset. wpa_supplicant is being used as the program that communicates with the access point to setup the wireless security (e.g. wep or wpa). This has nothing to do with the driver for the chipset. wpa_supplicant is an essential part in order to enable the Wireless network ability. NetworkManager will not show any wireless networks, if it can not communicate with wpa_supplicant. ifup/iwconfig will find wireless networks, but ifup/dhclient will fail if wpa_supplicant is not working properly. Based on the indication from Greg, I will submit a bug report for this one. Hi, Yesterday evening I made an update of my system to the latest version of Factory. This update also included the update of wpa_supplicant to version 0.6.9 (previous version was 0.6.4). After a restart, NetworkManager is indicating that the wireless interface is not available. After some checking it appears that NetworkManager can not communicate somehow with wpa_supplicant. In the NetworkManager logfile I see the following : May 10 17:41:51 hqvm000261 NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): device state change: 1 -> 2 May 10 17:41:51 hqvm000261 NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): bringing up device. May 10 17:41:51 hqvm000261 NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): preparing device. May 10 17:41:51 hqvm000261 NetworkManager: <info> (wlan0): deactivating device (reason: 2). May 10 17:41:51 hqvm000261 NetworkManager: supplicant_interface_acquire: assertion `mgr_state == NM_SUPPLICANT_MANAGER_STATE_IDLE' failed Switching back to wpa_supplicant version 0.6.4 and everything works smoothly again. Before I file a bug for this, does anybody else also have the same experience ? [opensuse-factory] hplip problems

Bug #487060 (Critical) refers - one in-house Novell user has seen the problem where jobs are queued but won't print on a network printer . The printer, in my case a USB attached HP Photosmart C4180 All-in-one does the same with the factory hplip and hplip-hpijs at ver. 2.8.7. The problem started with a zypper dup just before the M1 release and affects all the boxes I have. I tried 2.8.7 on 3 boxes and attaching the printer I get the same problem. So I downloaded hplip-3.9.4 source and installed it after using zypper to remove hplip and hplip-hpijs. The scanner function works perfectly. The print comes out as a page of solid black and the job remains on the queue. Propbably a mismatch between cups and the new hplip. I've suggested a new 3.9.4 package be added to factory - no further response so far. Sounds like my standard complaint? You're right. Is anyone having printing problems with HP printers? [opensuse-factory] amarok upgrade to amarok2

Hey Group; Upgrading from 11.0 to 11.2 amarok worked fine with amarok-yauap (which is broken) and amarok-xine. Now upgraded to 11.2 and Amarok 2 but no audio or even Yast2 2 can't find a version of yauap or xine. My Amarok was playing along today just fine without any upgrade or install from source when it stopped playing. Now nothing including a rpm -e of amarok none files then a upgrade to amarok2.0.2 and no sound. Can anyone explain why 1.4.10 just stopped in the middle of a song?
