One can see the "enter name ..." dialog for a second, then it vanishes. On the same machine this does not happen with Xorg. There is no error or warning in the journal, i.e. for a crash. This behaviour isn't consistent with applications from the rest of the system (moving aside VLC, but the app itself runs entirely under XWayland by default...), as they run the file picker under Wayland, following the correct scaling setting. the Firefox flatpak also runs the file picker under Wayland correctly (via Portal). This behaviour also doesn't happen with the native Firefox package on TWGNOME, running the GTK file picker under Wayland with respect to scaling, so I assume this happens from the OpenSUSE KDE patches added to Firefox? Install is a fresh TWKDE install. We should try to migrate away from kmozillahelper in favor of using the builtin xdg-desktop-portal integration. For that, we need to make sure that on Plasma it uses xdg-desktop-portal instead of GTK file dialogs out of the box. Currently this needs to be done manually by setting widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.file-picker=1 widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.mime-handler=1 I'm not sure about widget.use-xdg-desktop-portal.open-uri. The screen flickers horribly, horizontal bars appear over the pages and most of the underlying information is not displayed (see screenshots attached - this is very boring and simple set of filed company accounts, but more complex pdfs are similarly mangled). Downloading the same file and then opening with Okular works fine.
