Richard, Seems as though it is down at the moment. I tried here: http://hardwaredb.suse.de/?LANG=en_UK and got a 404 error. Perhaps this is temporary. Do you have HW issues at the moment? -- Thomas Adam

Hi Thomas,
Seems as though it is down at the moment.
I'll keep checking.
Do you have HW issues at the moment?
Not yet, and hopefully not at all. I'm thinking of putting together a server box using a Supermicro X5DA8 dual Xeon board. I've found quite a few messages to the effect that Linux works fine on it, but was wondering if that still holds true for the Suse 7.2 distribution I have. regards Richard -- richard@tortoise.demon.co.uk

Remember that distro's aren't usually HW specific (unless you buy some specifically for say SPARCs, etc). It is the kernel, at the end of the day that defines whether or not any HW is supported. I use SuSE 6.4 and have kernel 2.6 running on that, allowing me to run all kinds of very modern HW (made after SuSE 6.4 was released, anyhow).
