Following my earlier post about modems, I got myself a 3Com-USR 56k faxmodem,plugged it in and it works. The K e-mail client works, Netscape works although slowly, using the file manager as a browser is much faster. I cant get the K newsreader to work however. I've put the settings for SMTP server and NNTP server to match the settings I usually use for Agent on my NT machine: SMTP post.demon.co.uk NNTP news.demon.co.uk I have left the other boxes blank. When the newsreader initially attempts to get the available group list, the modem is busy, but it never finishes getting them. Any suggestions? regards Richard
