RE: [suse-linux-uk-schools] Printers.conf restart
You probably need to restart CUPS - rccupsd restart -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Nix To: suse-linux-uk-schools@suse.com Sent: 8/28/03 1:38 PM Subject: [suse-linux-uk-schools] Printers.conf restart I have made some additions to printers.conf to allow/deny users access to a printer. I there something I have to restart in order to get my changes recognised. I ask this because i have specified certain users cant use a printer. So I tested what I had done and It appeared not to work. Does anyone know what Im doing wrong? I tried it and it still let the unwanted user print. I think i must have done something wrong elsewhere. Does anyone if I have to edit any other file other than /etc/cups/printers.conf? If the problem isnt with the which file im editing. Then could someone tell me if im doing it right? In /etc/cups/printers.conf I have put a line the says DentUser @Students To specify an entire group that dont have access to the printer. I also tried DenyUser= @Students But neither worked. Could someone please tell me what im doing wrong? Cheers
