Re: [suse-linux-uk-schools] OSE Seminar / Conference
Hi, I was really disappointed that I had to miss the event, but I look forward to some sort of summary on ose.org.uk. I notice that there was an interesting mix of delegates ...
For those of you who missed the event, don't knock Becta, they're treading a very fine and difficult line here.
Absolutely - agreed.
Malcom and company need support, not flames, for thier work and support of Open Source.
I think the next big thing has got to be a statement of 'where can we go from here'. Did the conference cover any sort of future path, with any comments on what can be done to help - and perhaps more importantly, what 'sort' of people need to be involved. I would be interested to know what the future of the ose.org.uk website is too. I hope this conference will give it a boost, as a central point for information. It is interesting to note that discussions about ose/Becta and policies are happening here on the SuSE list - and not on the mailing list provided by OSE - I think this is a real shame, but - well, if a forum works, and people read it and respond, then I guess it doesn't matter ... Are people aware of the ose list ? Do you subscribe there too ? Should we leave Rogers mailing list for SuSE support issues, and continue OSE issues elsewhere (do you mind either way Roger :-) ?
