I did manage to get squid working in the end and it was working rather well. I had to leave school after that so will not see until Tuesday how it is fairing but thanks for all the help to date. I now need to read up a bit on tweaking it and adjusting some of the access priviledges and caching functions. It is all quite new to me but mans and faqs will help out. I suspect that I will be steering the school more into the good ship Linux especially since the new Star Office seems quite robust. Any more squid top tips greatly appreciated and I will feedback any worthwhile discoveries.
