would be anybody be interested in a training day on K12LTSP? (or LTSP more generally), as Sandwell's EMU have offered to host. No exact date, but soon, also no real cost. its not for politics, more of a 'run wot u brung' event for schools/LEAs
I /think/ I would be interested too... The trouble with Linux (or just one of them?) for newbies is the proliferation of clever "in" abbreviations; some of them are /really/obscure. Since this list is also aimed at (relative) new converts, or prospective ones, could we try and translate as we go? I know all computer systems have their own argot, but the nature of the beast is we are mostly familiar with the old ones... Linux has a new set all of its own. ltsp? iyswim. bfn Gary -- G M Locock, Network Manager Bablake Junior School, Coundon Road, Coventry, UK, CV1 4AU Tel: (+44) 24 7663 4052; Fax: (+44) 24 7663 3290 Web: http://www.bablakejs.co.uk Email: gml@bablakejs.co.uk
