I'm using Suse 7.0 and the default install of Apache. It is working as an intranet server but with some minor problems. Pages don't always finish loading ie. missing graphics etc. If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of your "/etc/httpd/httpd.conf" file, I will be able to look at it to make sure that all the settings are correct. I doubt however that the partial loading of images on webpages is down to apache. It is more likely that your browser (which I assume to be some variant of Internet Explorer <I shudder horribly>) settings are blocking certain image types. Of course, the problem might be that the particular image type that is being displayed is not in a valid "IE format", such as a .png .pnm for example.
Just a thought: have you checked that the case of the filenames matches the case used in the HTML tags? I ported a school site from IIS to Apache the other day and discovered a whole set of missing images, broken links etc. that were due to case problems (since IIS is case-insensitive but Apache isn't).
