Hello Everyone, I posted an answer of sorts to Chris Davies' problem but I forgot to introduce myself. I run SuSE on my workstation at work and at home - my kids (age 5 - 18) use it quite happily (apart from a few complaints about lack of windows games). In work I look after Carmarthenshire schools Internet. I have Linux on all servers and most of the schools are now or will be using it for mail and proxy service. I have been reading the stuff coming to this list with interest. In particular I look forward to seeing how the diskless client setup goes. We have the same problem with lots of older PC's being superceded. The biggest problem to my mind is that the GUI, which is what everyone wants, needs lots of space. Keep up the interesting chat. ____________________________________ Giles Nunn - Network Manager Carms Schools ICT Development Centre Tel: +44 01239 710662 Fax: 710985 ____________________________________
