[opensuse-doc] Translation of the Official Novell Documentation (ru)
Hi, Translations for 10.3 are already almost done. I've built packages for documentation but it stiil needs some polishing (e.g. it has some minor issues with help centers) Packages reside in my home repo: http://repos.opensuse.org/home:/nderkach So, my question would be what is the deadline for us? You can pick packages for Factory right now if we can update them later (in few days or in a week). The PDF looks very nice, good work! In the other mail you said you already solved the packaging problem. Is there still an issue open? -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-doc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-doc+help@opensuse.org
Hi all,
Translations for 10.3 are already almost done. I've built packages for documentation but it stiil needs some polishing (e.g. it has some minor issues with help centers)
So, we've finished our work. Unfortunately we were too late for DVD5. As for 10.3 FTP tree, hopefully the packages will be included. (see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=326254) I've tested opensuse-manual_ru package with both khelpcenter and yelp. While the first behaved pretty well, yelp refused to display our manual :( The spec file of opensuse-manual_ru package is almost identical to the Deutsch package, nevertheless the latter is shown in yelp. Karl, could you please try to investigate why could this happen? All in all, we still have some rough edges, minor issues in our documentation we'll try to fix as soon as possible (hopefully until 24th) or even suggest an online update. -- Regards, Nikolay Derkach --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-doc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-doc+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for the good work! I just submitted the contents of opensuse-manual_ru-10.3-52.2.src.rpm to the build system.
I've tested opensuse-manual_ru package with both khelpcenter and yelp. While the first behaved pretty well, yelp refused to display our manual :(
I'm going to check it later the day. I do not understand why it does not show up. I do not see where it differs from the English or German book. Will you please enter bug report and assign it to the yelp resp. GNOME maintainer? The package is now available in Factory. I'm not sure whether we already sync'ed it to opensuse.org. As for packaging everything is fine except yelp (see my previous mail) В сообщении от Tuesday 18 September 2007 13:20:13 вы написали:

I've already solved this issue, as expected it was obvious.
Fine. Nevertheless I will try to run my build script on your files. I might be interesting to see the results. Waiting...
The script does not work out of the box because of naming issues. Because you already solved it, I will not dig deeper. Something worth noting: We ship the PDFs as separate units and only the HTML as a monster blob (= all books as parts of a set).
Otherwise the PDF looks very nice and you probably can keep it that way!
Cheers, Karl
So, I'll try to explain how I've made my package. When I looked into your spec file for the first time I knew only few make instructions (pdf, html and validate). Then I realized the bulk of lines to write a script that'll automate my packaging work. Hopefully I discovered the "make package" command. Nevertheless it didn't make needed effect, as the command produced separate packages for separate books. So I wrote a simple ENV- file and adjusted a couple of lines in your spec file (sources and %prep). So here it is: --
cat ENV-opensuse-manual # -*- shell-script -*- # $Id: ENV-opensuse-startup 20938 2007-05-24 08:55:36Z taroth $
. .env-profile export MAIN=MAIN.opensuse.xml export PROFARCH="x86;amd64;em64t" export PROFOS="slprof;slpers" export DISTVER="10.3" -- This significantly automated my packaging work, now I execute just few commands: export PATH="$PATH:/home/nderkach/XEP" source ENV-opensuse-manual make validate (opt) make package osc ci That's it. -- Regards, Nikolay Derkach --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-doc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-doc+help@opensuse.org
