[opensuse-buildservice] SLE 11 SP 1 in build.opensuse.org
Hi, SUSE:SLE-11:SP1 containtains now the SLE base in version SP 1. The means it contains all packages as shipped with SLES, SLED, HAE, SDK, ... version 11 SP 1. People who create new SLE 11 repositories will get this as a base by default, since it is recommended to upgrade to SP1. Building against SP0 level is still fine and your packages should still work on SP 1. The exception are kernel based packages like kmp. If you build such packages you may want to build against SUSE:SLE-11:SP1 now. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Looks like there's something sub-optimal with java as well. SUSE:SLE-11 has java-1_6_0-openjdk available and is configured to prefer it on most archs. SUSE:SLE-11:SP1 doesn't seem to have openjdk any more, but still has it as prefered in prjconf. -- Iain. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Hi Adrian, I am happy that this version is available. But... ahem... are there plans to have SUSE:SLE-11:SP1:Updates also? Just in case one wants to build kernel modules, like they are needed for the open-vm-tools... No, there are no plans. But you don't need it for building kernel modules. Unlike to openSUSE, the SLES kernel is always full compatible during a SP phase. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
