of band, that means outside the request history, . IMHO they should be

Hmm, the subjects are already pretty long - but we can add a unique tag
to make it easier to filter. The filtering is a problem anyway as e.g.
gmail only filters for mailing lists, subject or from.
Either we add [obs] in all emails (just as hermes basically did) or
we let the admin configure a mail prefix, so you can have [packobs] too.
