[opensuse-buildservice] is there still a ia64 build host?
I still occassionally need packages for a couple of servers running SLES9 on ia64. I have seen ia64 packages, but I can't find where to add a ia64 build to packages. Can somebody give pointers? -- Lars Vilhuber on the road -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

No there is no ia64 build host available. (And there never was. There are ia64 compat packages, but they got created on ia32 plattform). bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

The public instance of the openSUSE Build Service does not have ia64 as build target, you have to set up one on your own if you need it, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform / openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
Hi, let me also say something about the status of testing wrt. to the list of supported build architectures: we regularily test also if all that works. But we do not have a tests system for all targets in the public OBS, nor do we in the test system. I, on my part, would be willing to put some worker nodes into our test system, if we get such a system from a sponsor. We can even give limited access to it (it is not a public OBS), if the sponsor whishes it (like a PowerPC64, IA64 or the like). PowerPC support is currently not available due to a missing Virtualization solution that works together with OBS (not virtualization at all). The same is true also for the other targets to be whished also in the public OBS. Virtulization is so to say a KO kriterion, but not the only one. The same is true for the already support Cross Build Targets in OBS now, ARM beeing the first of them. Martin Andreas Jaeger wrote:
