[opensuse-buildservice] Removal of SUSE Linux 9.3 and Fedora 4 repositories

Hi, we do currently remove base distribution which became out of maintenance. This means that we also remove all repositories building against SUSE:SL-9.3 Fedora:Core4 Fedora:Extras4 bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nrnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Removal is done. All repositories that had paths leading to one of the standard repositories of the three deleted projects were also deleted.
bye adrian

Removing Suse9.3 is a bad idea for me. Suse 9.3 is still the only installation which is e.g. available on the virtual servers from Strato. This means Suse9.3 is still an actively used system and should not be dropped from Buildservice entirely even if support is dropped. I'd second these concerns. One of the incentives for providing packages on the BS is to offer drop-in package updates for people which *have to* stick with their legacy distro version for whatever reason. What's the major reason for removing those repos? Disk space? Other resources? +Thomas -- Thomas Anders (thomas.anders at blue-cable.de) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Sorry, only German, but this is a request I recently sent to Strato:
I don't expect newer systems for the virtual servers in the next future. Maybe some time after 10.3 there will be new images available. At least for 2 more years Suse 9.3 should be supported in Buildservice. Ciao -- http://www.dstoecker.eu/ (PGP key available)

I also think that is a good idea. -- Amilcar Lucas Webmaster The KDevelop project --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
