That is unnecessary. You can use the /9 targets for this or the AlmaLinux 8/9 targets. Both are fully compatible with all RHEL 8/9 distributions.

True! But there's still some people which want 100% the same RHEL has at a certain point in time, both for running and building. So having AlmaLinux 9 at OBS makes sense and does not hurt anyone. As the CentOS pages says itself, Stream is a bit ahead of RHEL.
