The documentation on the wiki is not exactly complete or up-to-date...
Anyone willing to help me make a deb package of

You could copy my very simple package:
home:rudi_m:devel-snap/atem
just to see how it could work to let it build for both deb and rpm.
Then I would recommend you to tar your sources inclusive all patches
into one tar ball just to have easier .spec and .dsc and debian.rules
files.
Later when you know how it works you could separate the sources again.
