[opensuse-buildservice] %changelog not in descending chronological order
What's happening? Yesterday I build my googleearth-package.spec without trouble, but now I get: ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----- building googleearth-package.spec (user abuild) ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- + exec rpmbuild -ba --define '_srcdefattr (-,root,root)' /usr/src/packages/SOURCES/googleearth-package.spec error: %changelog not in descending chronological order The only changelog entry the spec file contains is: %changelog * Thu Mar 7 2010 <email address> - Initial OBS spec file Why do I get this error??? -- Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Why do I get this error???
Is there a .changes file in the package? This get's merged with the %changelog and the error might well be in the order in there. Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
Write one-digit dates with a leading zero... ...stumbled over that any number of times myself. Am Mittwoch, 10. März 2010 12:53:34 schrieb Richard Bos:

Just use "osc vc" to get a correctly formatted entry. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Your .changes files has this line: Mon Sun 7 23:12:333 UTC 2010 - rbos@opensuse.org "Mon Sun" doesn't make sense. Should be "Sun Mar" use osc vc :-) cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

That was the error... The weird thing is, it didn't fail to build before. It started to fail today, while I did not make changes to the package. Does it make a difference for the chronological test, that yesterday was an 1 digit date (9 March) and today has 2 digits (10)? -- Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
