Requesting a new (sub-)project?

Hi. I'm looking for guidance on requesting a new (sub-)project. Some context: I'm active in the OpenVPN project (i.e. https://github.com/OpenVPN) and we're looking for a way to build and publish packages for various distributions. E.g. to provide development snapshots and backports of current releases. build.opensuse.org seems like a very good fit for this with its wide-ranging support of distributions. I have created a proof-of-concept package at https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:flichtenheld/openvpn that builds development snapshots for SUSE and Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions and this seems to do what we want. But to really use this we would need something a bit more official than a home: project. So the question is whether there is some existing project where something like this would fit in or whether it would be better to request a top-level project for our community. If I understand the structure correctly projects like network:vpn are intended as upstream for openSUSE itself so building Debian packages there would feel out of place, wouldn't it? Some of my projects have disappeared

Hi, Not sure if someone can point me in the right direction to get some help. Quite a few of my projects have disappeared on the 17/04/25. I can no longer see the following projects: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:branches:network https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:cfg2html https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:jailkit https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:perl-modules https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:rclone https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:swatchdog I can still see the following project: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:robertday:tacplus Any help much appreciated. Fedora Rawhide broken with missing libfuse3.so.3()(64bit) ?

Hi All, Recently my https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:alvistack broken with Fedora Rawhide, as show in https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/home:alvistack?arch_x86_64=1&def… Sample error message: The build can not begin, because required packages are either missing or not explicitly defined. Repository has been published unresolvable: nothing provides libfuse3.so.3()(64bit) needed by e2fsprogs, nothing provides libfuse3.so.3(FUSE_3.0)(64bit) needed by e2fsprogs I had tried with `osc wipebinaries -r Fedora_Rawhide` but no help, any idea? Publishing pipeline stuck?

Hi, I have build some packages, the OBS says its published, but in fact nothing is in the download repo https://build.opensuse.org/projects/Application:ERP:GNUHealth:5.0/packages/… Anything stuck? Cheers Axel

downloading a whole repository (rsync? )

Hello, I created a few branches, I want to delete - after I downloaded the repository to local storage. I tried that with rsync-module rsync.opensuse.org::buildservice-repos - but my repositories seem to be not included. #rsync -rlptn rsync.opensuse.org::buildservice-repos/home:/Paneologist:/ /home/user/ex_obs/ --timeout=1800 -hi [...] rsync: [sender] change_dir "/home:/Paneologist:" (in buildservice-repos) failed: No such file or directory (2) any ideas? how to download otherwise? recursing with curl or wget would cause to download also other directories, due to the links in the directory index. is there an ftp? or another idea? Thanks
