Wrong path to %{name}.lang in %files section when use tarball-less source service

Hello! I am try to follow a 'Avoid tar balls' section of OBS documentation at https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.best-pract… and got an error when processing a lang package files: "[ 555s] Processing files: mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch [ 555s] error: Could not open %files file /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch/mypackage.lang: No such file or directory" Extra leading directories are present in the path: /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/... I was looking for how %files -f works, but it looks like the basic rpm functionality, not a macro. Probably I can fix it by setting some variable manually before processing? My specfile looks like at guide: %if %{build_tar_ball} Source0: %{name}-%{version}.tar.bz2 %else Source0: _service %endif ... %prep %if %{build_tar_ball} %setup -q %else %setup -n %_sourcedir/%name-%version -T -D %endif _service: <services> <service name="obs_scm"> <param name="url">git://git.code.sf.net/p/mypackage/code</param> <param name="scm">git</param> <param name="versionformat">2.5+git%cd.%h</param> <param name="filename">mypackage</param> </service> <service mode="buildtime" name="set_version"/> </services> But when %define build_tar_ball 1 - the package build successful, %file -f path is correct. Looks like a bug... Or I am doing something wrong?

Hi, https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/RockyLinux:8 is broken. How to change my e-mail address for build.o.o

There are several threads asking this very same question. The latest I found was this one: https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/buildservice@lists.opensuse.org/th…. However I still do not find an answer to that question. What I tried: - Going to my profile on build.o.o and edit my profile: The e-mail address is not editable. - Change the user meta via `osc meta user -e letsfindaway`: Does not change anything. - Login to Micro Focus and try to edit my profile there: The e-mail address is not editable. So what is the way to change the e-mail address listed on my profile in build.o.o and used to send e-mail notifications? Thanks for any insights and pointers! Martin

Heads Up: Changes in the OBS Notification Mail Headers

Hey, on Monday 15:00 CET we will change a couple of headers in some of the OBS Notification mails. So far mails about comments, requests and user changes included a "From:" header pointing to the address of the person that "caused" this notification, the author so to speak. So if I made a comment on your project you would receive mail From: Henne Vogelsang <hvogel(a)opensuse.org> Subject: New comment in project $project by hennevogel From Monday on *all* OBS notification mails from contain a "From:" header pointing to a general address. So if I made a comment on your project you would receive mail From: Henne Vogelsang (hennevogel) <noreply(a)opensuse.org> Reply-To: Henne Vogelsang <hvogel(a)opensuse.org Subject: New comment in project $project by hennevogel We need to do this because more and more MTA's get strict on SPF¹ and classify those emails as SPAM. Fedora Rawhide builds stuck on downloading packages in my home project

Hey all, I'm trying to build libzypp in OBS for Fedora Rawhide in a home project[1] for a bug report about libzypp's test suite[2], but it seems to have been stuck for a couple of days trying to download packages. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Building Debian packages from git

Hello, I have a git repository, and I want to build an openSUSE and Debian package out of these sources. For rpm packages there are tar_scm and set_version services which can in tandem generate updated packaging file automatically. There is the hiccup that tar_scm can only create a new tar file abd not delete the old file which can be avoided by not including the version in the tar file. That's messy but at least tehre is a way to generate the package automatically. For Debina package it is unclear how they can be built in OBS at all. Sure, you can download a full Debian package created with Debian tools on a Debian distribution, create a package container in OBS, upload the package files there, and you have a 1:1 clone of the original package. There are supposed to be some tools for managing Debian packages for the case when rpm package is built out of the same source, and as a result the source tarball needs to be available under mulltiple names to satisfy both the debian namig rules and th rpm naming conventions. There is a wiki page https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_Debian_builds which mentions a debtransform tool which is not documented any where I could find, and an example package that does not exist. Even on that page it is assumed that a Debian changelog exists but the changesgenerate option of tar_scm service generates an OBS changelog, not a Debian changelog. Is there a tool that can convert OBS changelog to DEbian changelog? Is there any documentation of debtransform? Thanks Michal
