[Rick Liu]
I'm building a package using ARM compiler which requires to access ARM license server during the build time.
Right now I have a work around to use IP directly instead domain name, which requires /etc/resolv.conf pre-setup in chroot.
I just wondering if there's an easy way to preset chroot environment (and maybe also environment variable) in obs worker.

Hi,
I am a new user of the opensuse buildservice and started using it yesterday by branching two existing packages.
After those packages have been built successfully, I started a new project and deleted the branched one.
But the repository folder of the deleted branched project is still on http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/denkad:/.
How can I delete that folder and still keep the repo under http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/denkad/?

Hello,
I would like to update the s3ql package
(https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=s3ql&project=filesystems). I
know that the newer version is going to fix the current build problems.
I have tried to follow the instructions on
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_Collaboration and
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:How_to_contribute_to_Factory, but I'm
failing at the very first step:
$ osc branch openSUSE:Factory s3ql
Please enter password for encrypted keyring:
Server returned an error: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
openSUSE:Factory/s3ql
Can someone give me a hint?
Best,
-Nikolaus

Dear all,
I notice that the automatically generated instruction for installing
my packages are not correct, because are not mentioned the name of the
sub packages.
If you look at the page:
http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home:EmmeG:LARAL&package…
It say to install the package FARSA:
yum install FARSA
but the RPM package FARSA does not exist, the FARSA.spec create
instead three packages: libFARSA, FARSA-devel and FARSA-total99
how can I modify the generation of instruction to mention the correct
name of the packages to install ??
Thanks,
Gianluca.

You need to get it into the build root.
Andreas.

Hi, what has been changed?
Did you merge initvm into single build.spec? If yes, then why build-initvm package exist?
Also, could you help with build under fedora https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?arch=x86_64&package=build… ?
Thanks.--

Greetings,
I have a product that needs to completely replace a previous product. Most of the RPM names are the same - this was essentially a name change on the side of the product. Ideally I would like the users to be able to use OpenSuse's "Patch-CD Update" to perform the migration, as that is what the current user base is used to in the update process.
I added "<obsoletepackage>old-package</obsoletepackage>" to the _product/new-package.product file, which added the following line to my _product:new-product-release/new-product-release.spec
"Provides: weakremover(new-product-release)"
However, during a Patch-CD Update, the new product is not selected automatically. Even when I select it manually, the old-product-release package is not removed automatically.
If I use the "Add-On Product" module, the new product pattern IS selected automatically, but the old package is not removed.
Is it possible to provide a direct update path for users when changing the product name? If so, how?
The link below seemed my greatest chance for manual help, but I was not able to get much from it, unfortunately.
http://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-reference-guide/cha.obs.produc…
Again, thank you in advance for your time and consideration, I really appreciate the work that has been done on OBS.
