Or you mean the icon disappear and no that task show on panel after you switch to other activity? second one is another issue, should be separate from here, can you report a new bug for that? You can use File->New Window in the first instance of Dolphin. For other apps that don't have this, add them to the panel rather than the panel with right click, add to panel in the K Menu. If you have suggestions how to improve the usability of taskbar launchers, open a bug at bugs.kde.org.
