GTK/Gnome apps simply cannot be made to automatically obey KDE font settings, and least not by any method we have been able to discover as yet. It looks like YaST2 modules are using the same fonts as GTK apps, while YaST2 control center is obeying KDE, and even though kcmgtk is set to use KDE fonts, they obviously don't, at least not as to sizes in Gimp or Firefox. The ~/.config/Trolltech.conf file is set to size 14 fonts. (How SMplayer decided to use bigger fonts than anything else I have no idea.)
