[Bug 1126426] New: net-snmp: please drop use of $FIRST_ARG
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1126426 Bug ID: 1126426 Summary: net-snmp: please drop use of $FIRST_ARG Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: fbui@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, The environment variable FIRST_ARG is considered as a poor interface provided by the systemd rpm macros. This was probably required because of the %service_* rpm macros were playing tricks with the shell positional parameters. This was bad practice and error prones so we would like to remove FIRST_ARG support entirely and hence it should be safe to assume that positional parameters remains unchanged after any rpm macro calls. However it seems that net-snmp uses FIRST_ARG for a different purpose... would it be possible to implement that differently so FIRST_ARG is no longer used ?
