I see that the version of pwlib is dated 2006-06-08. See the document: "IIDC 1394-based Digital Camera Specification" from www.1394TA.org for a description of this standard. This library is one of a very few 'core' FireWire libraries. It would be very odd not to supply it as well as the other 1394 libraries. I don't have a problem with maintaining it. But it works so closely with libraw1394 that it would seem odd to separate them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Version 1.2.2 is dated 2006-03-31. I've sent an inquiry to upstream inquiring about libdc1394_control12. Version 1.2.2 is still available at : http://sourceforge.net/projects/libdc1394/files/libdc1394/1.2.2/libdc1394-1.... but recent software shouldn't have a problem with the current setup. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Perhaps providing that one is better then simply dropping this library all together. No need to drop anything the 2.x.x series libdc1394 no longer provides

I'm still waiting for clarification about what happened to libdc1394_control from upstream but meanwhile why don't you try removing it as a dependency and see if your package builds. libdc1394_control and the author appeared very camera sensitive.
