https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=810335 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=810335#c0 Summary: System Settings window features an empty(?) Other section Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gp@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Product Management Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=530462) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=530462) Screenshot Invoking System Settings, I see an "Other" section at the bottom of the window, also no icons/items there and no way to scroll down. Either that, a way to scroll down, is missing or the section is shown despite featuring no items. Both of which are confusing. See attached screenshot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Richard, thanks for your patch. I changed the needinfo to one of our g-c-c maintainers. Dominique do you think the fix is ok for an 12.3-update?
Benjamin, yes, the patch is fine for g-c-c 3.6.x (3.8 / Factory won't need it) As for a maintenance update: as this is a really minor (visual only!) fix, we might want to hold it back for a week or so and see if some other g-c-c issues come in... to bundle the fixes... other than that: no objections to the fix. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If I drop the patch from branding it will 'work' and include the fix, but we'll need to push out the rebuilt (but otherwise unchanged from 12.3 GA) g-c-c-branding package as the maintenance update?
