This was successful - the environment variables are set properly. But to use this proxy after first login in KDE, you have to go to kde/konqueror's proxy settings: - "Use preset proxy environment variables" is already checked (which is correct). -> You have to click on "Setup..." and then "Auto Detect" to fill out the variables, otherwise proxy will not work.
