I tried Haswell HP machine but it seems working stably. So, maybe the issue is specific to Broadwell (i.e. between Haswell and Skylake).
I built another test KMP just containing a couple of fixes that are related with page flipping. It's found in OBS home:tiwai:bnc1004048/i915 repo.

Uninstall the drm-kmp if you already installed, and try this i915-kmp instead.
