[Bug 478659] New: ppc/factory has very outdated rpm-md metadata

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=478659 Summary: ppc/factory has very outdated rpm-md metadata Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: adrian@novell.com ReportedBy: poeml@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Hi, the rpm-md metadata in Factory on powerpc.opensuse.org is extremely outdated (October 2008): http://powerpc.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/repodata/ This gets into the way when trying to update to Factory. (For some reason, libzypp uses it even though I add the repo with "-t yast2"; other bug.) Please update (or remove) it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

When I use http://powerpc.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/ instead of http://powerpc.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse then it actually uses the yast2 metadata. So not a bug there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I assume, some server admin called manually createrepo once and forgot about it ;) However, this data should get removed on next sync, so there must be also an exclude rule on the server rsyncd.conf. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
