Summary: openibd loads after network, messing up ipoib configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sebastian.hegler@tu-dresden.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032712 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.8
The openIB package's startup script is hardwired to load after the network configuration. This messes up the network, since the ipoib driver is not loaded. The ipoib interfaces must then be brought up manually, which is an annoying task.
Please change the dependency of the openib initscript to run before the network scripts.
Reproducible: Always
