[Bug 1185268] New: EDITOR env var not set
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1185268 Bug ID: 1185268 Summary: EDITOR env var not set Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: erbenton@comcast.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- It appears that the EDITOR environment variable isn't set at all after an install, or, at least in my case, the first time i went to use crontab the var wasn't set and i couldn't edit my crontab. Setting EDITOR=/usr/bin/vim export EDITOR at the end of /etc/profile fixed it, although I couldn't find a reference doc saying that was the proper place for it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
