[Bug 925513] New: Removable media are mounted randomly in multiseat systems

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=925513 Bug ID: 925513 Summary: Removable media are mounted randomly in multiseat systems Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: vojtech@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- In a multiseat system, multiple users can be logged in at local consoles simultaneously. When media is inserted at one seat, it is randomly mounted on any of the active seats. Test case: Plug in a USB stick into a port assigned to a specific seat. Expected outcome: The stick is mounted with permissions of the user logged in on that seat. Actual outcome: The stick is mounted with permissions of a random user logged in locally. The reason is that udisks2 is compiled without systemd-logind integration and thus unaware of multiseat. Hence all seats race to mount the device and the first one wins. Enabling systemd-logind integration in udisks2 fixes the problem. The problem (and simple solution) is described here in more detail: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks2/+bug/1319870 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
