However, since the variable is usually set here in a way, that it can't be used by osc on OBS and since most people get confused that "osc build" behaves in a non documented way, this usage should get removed. Alternatively, it may makes sense to support a $OSC_DEFAULT_REPO enviroment instead, what can also be used by externals. I already depracated the feature and it was no longer working at a time.. but somebody else "fixed" it...

Increasing a bit the importance of this, since someone wasted a hour again because of this.
Ok it's fixed in r3683: - fixed bug #359846: the BUILD_DIST environment variable will be ignored by osc - the following environment variables can still be used: # OSC_SU_WRAPPER overrides the setting of su-wrapper. # OSC_BUILD_ROOT overrides the setting of build-root. # OSC_PACKAGECACHEDIR overrides the setting of packagecachedir.
