What ways did you try? Could you attach /var/log/wpa_supplicant.log? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Authentication fails for unknown reason. Could you check your AP's settings?

This is the result of the required command using
As you can see: Line 8: Invalid passphrase length 7 (expected: 8..63) 'Wir neu"'. The standard says: A pass-phrase is a sequence of between 8 and 63 ASCII-encoded characters. The limit of 63 comes from the desire to distinguish between a pass-phrase and a PSK displayed as 64 hexadecimal characters. If your AP allows something else, it's not 802.11 compliant. here is now the proper output file
Well, from the logs it succeeded. Are you able to arping the AP (arping -I wlan0 <IP>) or obtain address via dhcp (dhcpcd wlan0)? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

From the output of iwconfig command in the document, there is Access Point: Not-Associated
From what moment was it taken?
Could you test it once again without NM (i.e. the network down), only with wpa_supplicant (after you kill all dhcp clients and wpa_supplicants). Then, after wpa_supplicant succeeds with connection (iwconfig will show address of AP in Access Point column) try dhcpcd -T -t 0 wlan0. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

- brought it up again
Nope, do not do this, run wpa_supplicant instead the same as in comment #10. Then look at its output, if it associated and in another console check iwconfig output that it has correct Access Point entry. Even after that try to run dhcpcd. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I have deleted the entry in the network manager and created a new entry. Now I can link to my dsl router without any problems.
