I suggest to try again with the original settings of SaX2, i.e. recreate your xorg.conf from scratch with sax2. And please don't reassign this bug back to me. I made changes after installing opensuse as touchpad was not working fine. It was too slow and not very usable. Therefore I followed below link and after that it was working fine. http://thedaneshproject.com/posts/improve-alps-touchpad-response-speed/ But its behaving like this since several days only and its been so long since I've been using opensuse11(since it released) without this issue. Now the mouse is very slow. I tried to increase pointer acceleration and threshold but its still too slow and not as good & smooth as before. Why? I asked you to adjust only MinSpeed, MaxSpeed and AccelFactor parameters.
But still in some cases, mouse pointer freezes and at that time, moving it does random clicks.

I just had to do following settings in xorg.conf to get perfect movement. Option "HorizScrollDelta" "20" (old was 0) Option "MinSpeed" "0.6" (old was 0.2) Haven't encountered freezes so far since 2 days. You can play a bit with the values to reduce the issue, but as long as you are the only one experiencing this issue, we cannot really debug this. Maybe you can open a bug report upstream on bugs.freedesktop.org and hope that others have the same issue - but somehow I currently doubt so.
