The /var/run/netconfig directory should exist when sssd starts. The proposed solution is to create the directory early in the boot process using systemd tmpfiles (comment #34 from bsc#1123699): echo "d /run/netconfig 0755 root root -" > /etc/tmpfiles.d/netconfig.conf Could you verify please?
