[Bug 669801] New: System Load Viewer widget expands bigger size by relocating programs/widgets in panel
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=669801 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=669801#c0 Summary: System Load Viewer widget expands bigger size by relocating programs/widgets in panel Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: f.leerink@xs4all.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=412441) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=412441) Panel and System Load Viewer before system restart User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100626 SUSE/3.6.6-1.2 Firefox/3.6.6 Hello, When relocating programs/widgets in the panel the size of the System Load Viewer increases sometimes, sothat other program/widget icons overlaps each other. Sometimes this happens after a cold start or reboot. In the last case the panel was locked before shutdown. This is probably related to an earlier reported KDE bug 237123 Regards, Frans Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add at least System Load Viewer, Pager, Panel Spacer and some other program/widget icons to the panel. Sysyem Load Viewer directly Left to Pager and panel at top of the screen and taskbar at the bottom.Make sure icons do not overlap each other. 2.Move program/widget icons around in panel. I always try to arrange the system icons left of the pager and the user programs right of the pager. 3.Eventualy restart the system and watch sequence of icons in panel, after locking the panel. Actual Results: The sequence of icons has changed, they are all moved to the left and some icons overlap each other (this happens all the time after a restart) and sometimes the System Load Viewer increases in size. Expected Results: The icons in the panel should hold its position, size spacing and sequence after a restart. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I have found out that by putting a panel spacer at the left side of the system tray the size of the system load viewer is pushed back to its normal size. Where can I find the to be reopened existing upstream report. What is upstream or downstream? And the existing report there is http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=237123 which you opened (and closed) yourself. I am not sure if it is better to reopen the exisiting one or to open a new one, but this is defintly an non-openSUSE specific issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
