I would say we should turn this bug into a feature for proper discussion. What do you think?
Hm, for sure this'd be a new feature.
There's a side effect I didn't stress in my original report, which might make this ticket a valid bug report: AutoYaST seems to have no setting that will make the "unable to refresh repository" message time out - the install, at least for us, forces user intervention to skip the update.
A different notion with regards to the bug title and if needed, I'll open a new ticket :)
