I get the exact same behaviour on both rug and zen-remover. First I tried removing a package with no dependency (zsh), zen-remover and rug both removed the package successfully. Then I tried removing "alsa" package. The dependency list was quite huge but the behaviour itself was same on both rug and zen-remover. I tried removing the same package using "rpm -e" and I got the same dependencies..
